Non-DOT Pre-Employment Drug Test
If you are not currently working in a Safety-Sensitive position, then it is not mandatory for drug and alcohol testing to be completed, but every company could benefit from a safer work environment.
Without proper testing in place, you will be in more of a reacting mentality instead of a pre-emptive mentality. It is harder to test after an employee has been deemed to be under the influence than it would be to have random tests in place. Employees feel that you will breach their safety by testing, but this just in term will keep the good workers on the job site and keep the non-productive workers going somewhere else.
